Aren’t we gods? And if we are gods, why are we still poor, sick, dying, and bad things happening to us? So if we are made in His image, and He is God, aren’t we gods, for we are His children. Who are these gods His talking about? The bible says in Genesis that “Let us make man with our image”. The first verse of this chapter says: God standeth in the congregation of the mighty he judgeth among the gods. The book of Psalms 82:6 says: I have said Ye gods and all of you children of the most High. Who was poor for me so through Him I might be rich? Who am I that God is so mindful of? ![]() Most of all, who am I that God came to earth for me and died on my behalf so that I could live. Who am I that God looks at me and says show me your love not sacrifices. Who are you? Who are we? Most importantly who am I? Who am I that God look at me and says I am your God who teacheth you to ascend, who leads you by the way you should be. A wise man said if you had to look at yourself there way God sees you, you wouldn’t recognize yourself. Now here is the answer: you lack knowledge of who you are! If you knew who you were, you wouldn’t be where you are right now, if you fully grasped who is the real you. Now getting back to the verse of my people perishing for the lack of knowledge, what is this knowledge that our Father says we lack? What is this fear that King Solomon is talking about here? Further in the book of Proverbs (Prov 15:33 ) he says: “The fear of the LORD the instruction of wisdom and before honour humility.” What is God saying here? The book of Proverbs 1:7 says: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, fools despise wisdom and instructions. ![]() Other translations say: “My people perish because they don’t know me” This verse comes from Hosea 4:6.
